»Passion for music – that's what drives me. The music I make is as diverse as the music I listen to. From hard rocking metal to soft pop ballads and beyond, everything I do is a 100% me.«
Nuremberg-based, multi-talented musician Michael Sopolidis started playing drums at the age of 9. He expanded his skills in singing and other instruments by playing in multiple bands and working on many projects ever since, developing his musicality and staying open-minded for all kinds of styles and genres.
His passion for writing music has led to an impressive number of songs, of which he picked his favorites for his twin albums NEW HORIZON:DUSK and NEW HORIZON:DAWN.
Join his passion for songs about love & hate, life & death – delve into atmospheric soundscapes, lift your mood with cheerful tunes and rock with heavy riffs.

My album »NEW HORIZON« will be finished later this year at last. With so many songs written and a broad diversity in style, packing everything into one album would have been impossible, so I decided to split the album in two:
»DAWN« is the result of my love for good and sophisticated pop and rock music. Mostly lighter in mood but also melancholic at times, these songs represent my softer side, inspired by artists and bands like Sting, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Chroma Key and Kip Winger. But there is plenty of rock vibe on this album, too.
If you're into dark and heavy music »DUSK« is the right album for you. Inspired by Metallica, Megadeth, Sevendust, O.S.I. and many more, these songs are generally darker in mood, metal tracks with heavy guitar riffs but also atmospheric soundscapes to delve into.
Come to the dark side.

My second single from the upcoming albums.
One of my favorite songs of one of my favorite musicians.
And another birthday while in lockdown. This is a acoustic cover of the greek song by Giannis Poulopoulos performed by my brother and me. It's our dad's favorite song and we did this video for his birthday since we couldn't perform live at his birthday party.
